Physical Description: A petite woman standing no more than 5'2, and in that standing a good three inches taller than her mother before her, Aisling has a doll-like air to her, pale skin, blue-black hair, and deep blue eyes. She's athletic, practicing Judo in her downtime and sometimes taking other self-defense classes on the side, determined not to find herself helpless or at another's mercy. (Something that works fine until someone taller picks you up) - She wears her hair in mismatched braids, one side deliberately longer than the other, partly because she finds it cute and part to dare other people to comment on it as a test of character. She's accustomed to clothing that is loose on her, or just 'too big', and has worked it into a style, Looser tops tucked in to blouse out, enormous jackets that she can pull her hands into, well-fit jeans, and whatever cute shoes she has found. Accessorizing with colorful ribbons and scraps of lace she finds, preferably out of scrap bins so that nothing will quite match. She loves reading up on some of the cuter and sometimes sportier Harajuku styles.
Occupation: Front Counter associate at Book Wyrm Books
Personality: Determined, romantic on paper but socially oblivious she craves a romantic relationship but has yet to catch any of the hints people may or may not have thrown her way. She tends to assume people just want to be friends with her rather than having any hint that an invitation to a movie, or asking for a phone number might in fact be a prelude to a date, and normally responds in kind about how nice it would be to have a new friend. As a result, unknown numbers of people have likely given up getting through that they were hoping for more, though at least one has been more aggressive about their intentions, which contributed to her need and want to be able to better protect herself and others. She's determined to have a 'take no shit' attitude, though cultivating it has been of moderate success at best unless she's well and truly frustrated with the world. She finds it still far easier to step up to defend others than to defend herself.
Backstory: A graduate with a Bachelor of Arts she's still looking for her place in the world, right now it's comfortable working at the bookstore, even if she's half sure that Rayne is secretly either a changing (the colorful hair) or a hummingbird (the sugar), she'd have to admit if pressed that part of the reason she applied at the shop were the staff only rolling ladders, she's just light enough that she can get away with 'scootching' them down an isle without getting off the ladder to fetch things off higher shelves, despite the rule against such behaviors If no one catches her, and she got done efficiently then she did the job well.
