What is your name?

On the internet, you can call me Splendid, but otherwise I'm Sam!

Where are you from?

Born and raised in Florida, now I'm in New York!

How did you find the forums?

I'm IRL friends with Ami and she invited me to play!

Where have your RPed before?

First was GaiaOnline, and then in DMs on various chat platforms--most recently being Discord. I play a lot of TTRPGs over voice chat (like Monsterhearts 2, Urban Shadows, and, of course, the big one being DnD). I generally play with people I know well in the meatspace but sometimes pesky things like distance get us using Discord and Zoom like fools.

What media (books, movies, TV shows, video games) do you enjoy?

I read a lot (mostly fairy tale/myth retellings and vampire books). The last two books I really enjoyed reading were The Bone Gap by Laura Ruby and All These Bodies by Kendare Blake. I've played a lot of the Bioware catalogue (like Mass Effect and Dragon Age and SWTOR) but tend to play cozy games (ie Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing: New Horizons) and life sim games (ie the Sims, House Flipper etc) more recently. I have also fallen down the interactive fiction/visual novel rabbit hole. Basically if you can create a character, design a space, and/or tell a story I'm there!

I mostly write for my own personal indulgence, make playlists, and do some knitting/crocheting but nothing that I've really published.

I'm happy to be here and ready to have fun playing with our dolls in this sandbox!
